Each Dazzler’s Diary mini-magazine offers a unique story meant to inspire a one-shot gaming experience using the Laughing Moon Adventures Role-Playing Game.
In this issue, the character of Jolie has narrowly escaped a group of bandits only to find herself in the notorious town of Fensmoor, a place rich with rumor and local folklore. At the heart of these tales is the mysterious tower of sorcerer whose reputation paints him as an eccentric and dangerous collector of unwary travelers from abroad. Rumor and local folklore link this sorcerer to the occult or even the world of the undead, but here in these fantastical reaches, not everything is as it seems.
The Dazzler’s Diary is a unique product using themed photography in an effort to bring to life strong, female characters inspired by artists such as Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Larry Elmore, & Clyde Caldwell. It combines a story-centric narrative and photography, allowing readers to go into the magazine solely for entertainment, or with a Game Master's eye for implementing this as a stand-alone session in any Dungeons and Dragons style setting. The narrative of each issue lends itself naturally to a standard fantasy tabletop adventure, allowing Game Masters to easily adapt the story into personal campaigns or home brews. Each issue contains a creature encounter, a unique dungeon map (drawn in the "old school" D&D style), and dungeon notes. The magazine is written as a narrative experience for the Laughing Moon Adventures RPG, but is also designed to be easily adaptable by game masters for virtually any RPG setting.
